High mountain restaurant night out
|
| If you have booked a week fully catered here at the lodge we take one night off from cooking (Phew!)
There are loads of great restaurants to choose from but these two are by far the most fun!

Bossons Glacier Refuge
|
| This is a lovely restaurant, overlooking the Bossons glacier. From the car park there is a 20 minute walk up the mountain through the forest, time to work up an appetite.
Typical Savoyard menu in a great atmosphere, this place has no electricity or heating, just the roaring fire and paraffin lamps, and Gods water closet! Remember that the chef has hauled all the food up that day on his back, no cars here!
Once finished you will be offered thick bin bags for a classic sledge race back to the car, or be prepared and bring a "Bum sledge"

The Ski-Doo night out! Overlooking the Mont Blanc Massif

| Oh yes, this one is a must, we can arrange one of the most memorable nights out you will ever have. best to keep this a surprise to the rest of the group for full "Oh my God" effect!
We keep the location of this pretty secret otherwise we will never be able to get a reservation!
The fun begins:
You will be met at the bottom of the mountain by the owner of the restaurant, he will get your group up the mountain. Two Quad Bikes, each taking 4 guests, its a totally crazy race guaranteed to get you laughing for the rest of the evening.
Once at the restaurant you will have a typical Savoyard feast, the food just keeps coming.
When the meal is finished its time to get back down the mountain, what were all those super tech sledges we saw outside when we arrived? Be prepared for a drunken race back to the car park!
If you would like us to drive you to this "secret place" then we will normally join the group for the meal.

Evening tastings in the chalet
|
| A guided evening tasting in the chalet is a great way to taste some of the excellent wines produced in the French Savoie, Italian Aosta Valley and Swiss Valais regions, accompanied by local cheeses, meats and nibbles. Led by Sam, you'll taste 8-10 wines, starting at 5pm and finishing in time for dinner. Tasting notes and supporting info are provided. The cost is €30-40 per person depending on the wines selected and group size. |
Wine-tasting day trips in Italy, Switzerland or France
|
| Enjoy a guided day trip as part of a ski/board or even a summer holiday - ideal for bad weather days and/or if your group includes non-skiers. Some of the best producers in the French Savoie, Italian Aosta Valley and Swiss Valais regions are within 1 hour's drive of Chamonix. While Barolo, one of Italy's most prestigious red wine zones, is 2.5 hours away. Each trip is guided by Sam and includes lunch at a local restaurant of note. We visit no more than 2-3 wine producers per day and, depending on time, can also visit a local dairy or meat producer en route. Traveling by comfortable minibus, you will have the opportunity to purchase wines to take home. Day trips cost 60€-120€ per person including all tastings, transport, driver, guide/translator and supporting info (lunch not included) – final price depends on itinerary and group size.
If you would like us to organize any of these please be sure to give us plenty of notice, ideally at least 2 months

Heliboarding or Heliskiing
|
| Totally illegal here in France, Chamonix is lucky enough to be able to offer helicopter drops just over the border in either Switzerland or Italy. Price varies depending on group, location and number of drops, have a look here for more details |
